The “Kutaisi Abandoned Sanatorium” refers to the derelict Soviet-era health resorts in the nearby town of Tskaltubo, a popular destination for urban explorers. Once a prominent spa town, Tskaltubo’s numerous grand sanatoriums and hotels were abandoned after the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991.
